I’m a copywriter and all-purpose creative guy with over 25 years experience, 12 of them with Boston area agencies including a 5 year stint as a Senior Copywriter for Direct Marketing at Mullen, one of the largest agencies in New England. I quit Mullen to go full-time freelance on April Fools' Day, 1993 . So far, it's worked out pretty well.
You might call me a generalist. I've written for every type of media there is --TV, radio, print, outdoor, circulars, brochures, data sheets, training tapes, websites, multimedia, corporate events, guerilla marketing, you name it. Plus more than my share of Direct Mail campaigns. I've even written questions for Trivial Pursuit. (And if that doesn't impress you, I don't know what will.)
I've produced many successful projects for companies whose names you'll no-doubt recognize - including Parker Brothers, Tufts Health Plan, Veryfine, Smartfood, Ricoh, Bayer, Colgate, Lojack, Lotus, Houghton Mifflin, MetLife-State Street, Digital, Analog Devices, Schlumberger, and many more.
My forte is highly targeted, message-driven Direct Marketing communications, usually B2B. Being an MIT dropout as well as a former actor, teacher and theater director, I'm quickly able to grok what your company has to offer. Then I try to see things from your customers' point of view to get a feel for what's important to them. ( Is what you want to say really what they need to hear?) That way I can craft exactly the right message, distill that message to its essence, and then deliver it with maximum dramatic impact.
It's what I do.
